nxl are victorious in an online league for the Asian region that is among the first of its kind in scale, defeating TheMongolz 3-2 (23-25 on de_inferno, 6-16 on de_cache, 16-8 on de_dust2, 16-6 on de_mirage, and 16-9 on de_train).

The MixBOT Pro-League Season 1 is hosted by Idea Field, a Hong Kong-based company, and brought together 16 of Asia's premier teams for a total prize-purse of $3,000.

The tournament saw some projected favourites withdraw after qualifying for the playoffs, specifically Chinese QeeYou and Vietnamese Skyred for reasons of roster issues.

As such, it was the Mongolian team of TheMongolz who came through on one side of the playoffs bracket, defeating TyLoo 2-0 in the semifinals. TheMongolz also are known for attending the ESL One Cologne Asian qualifier and holding both Immunity and Korean myRevenge to fairly even games.

nxl take home gold for Indonesia in the MixBOT Pro-League

On the other side of the bracket, the Indonesian team of nxl (three of whose members will be attending The World Championships in the national team this coming weekend) prevailed over the Malaysian MVP.karnal team in a close 2-0 series.

Both teams thus met in a best-of-five grand final, and the first map proved it would be a closely contested series, with de_inferno going into triple overtime and seeing TheMongolz eventually emerge victorious at 25-23.

de_cache was a sweep for the Mongolian horde with a 16-6 scoreline, however the third map saw Albert "⁠FrostMisty⁠" Giovanni & co. of nxl rally to take de_dust2 16-8 and prolong the grand final duel.

de_mirage saw the Indonesian team continue upon its newfound momentum, retaliating with a 16-6 shutdown on the map, and forcing a fifth map.

nxl persevered on the fifth map of de_train as well by simply outplaying TheMongolz 16-9, and successfully mounted a three-map comeback in a best-of-five to win the first season of the MixBOT Pro-League.
